Under the gilded ceilings of Paris’s iconic Plaza Athénée, Maison Vémian unveiled a vision that felt both futuristic and timeless.
Within the framework of Paris Fashion Week, the Los Angeles–based fashion house, led by Armenian-American couture designer Von Vemián, presented its Spring–Summer 2026 collection titled Celestial Opera - a love letter to the art of couture in an era where algorithms threaten to define beauty.
The show opened like a dream. Models glided through the salon as if stepping out of constellations, gowns catching the light in fluid waves of silk chiffon, satin, and taffeta. There was something cinematic in the air — an otherworldly sense that we were witnessing fashion’s return to its truest form: fantasy that can be worn.
“People are obsessed with AI-generated gowns,” the designer later mused. “Those glittering, impossible dresses that live only on screens. Clients often show me those images and say, ‘Can this exist?’ Celestial Opera is my answer — proof that imagination can be crafted by hand, not code.”
Indeed, the collection felt like a rebellion against the unreal perfection of the digital age. Vemián’s gowns shimmered like liquid silver yet moved with the grace of reality — garments made not for pixels, but for women stepping onto red carpets, down aisles, or across moonlit stages.
Each look carried a whisper of the celestial, beneath the spectacle was sincerity — a designer intent on reclaiming glamour as something deeply human.
Vemián’s world has always balanced fantasy with form. As founder and creative director of Maison Vémian, he has built a reputation for daring eveningwear that walks the line between drama and wearability. Celestial Opera feels like the culmination of that vision - a reminder that the most captivating creations don’t need to defy physics to enchant.
